If you thought pimping up an iPhone with gold and diamonds are a little too ‘ordinary’, then perhaps this other gadget customizer, called Legend, can help. What makes Legend stands out is, the outfit goes beyond coating the device in precious metal or embellishing it with precious stones; it also boasts intricate engraved designs, along with variety of patterns that make the device straight out of opulent ancient Greek empire, well, not that the have smartphone back in those days, but if they had, it would probably look like one customized by Legend.
Anywho, with the impending announcement of iPhone 7 next month, Legend is already taking pre-order for it – in “highly customized” 24K Gold, of course. The company is offering the 256GB model which, apart from the 10 micron thick gold plating, comes with diamond studded buttons as standard. Three models are being offered: Classique, Classique Diamond Edition, and Momentum. Classique is the most ‘basic’ of all, boasting a backlit logo embellished with VVS1 grade diamonds, hand-set by an expert jeweller.
Classique Diamond Edition, on the other hand, is for those who desire for even more bling as it comes garnished in a whopping 360 VVS1-grade diamonds that works out to a total of 10.7 carats. Last but not the least is the grand daddy of luxe, the Momentum, which features a round cut 0.6 carat Ruby center stone complimented by VVS1-grade diamond halo and surrounded by hand-cut green turban abalone and black mother of pearl inlays. Rounding up the super luxe Momentum is a hand-engraved gold-plated sterling silver frame.
However, if those features aren’t enough, Legend can further customize the handset to your exact specifications. All you need is money. Speaking of money, expect to drop anything from 2,950 to 3,390 euros (around US$3,340-3,845) for one, depending on the level of opulence you desire. Probably more, if you wish to customize it to your dream specifications.
